AI Innovations for a Better Tomorrow

Zayed University Convention Center, Dubai, UAE

September 24th and 25th, 2025

Developing AI Applications with Low-Code and No-Code Tools

Generative AI is rapidly transforming industries by enabling users to generate text, images, video, and code with minimal effort. However, many professionals, educators, and researchers do not have the coding expertise required to build and deploy AI models. Low-code and no-code platforms bridge this gap, allowing users to leverage generative AI capabilities without extensive programming knowledge.

This hands-on tutorial will introduce participants to low-code and no-code tools for generative AI, demonstrating how these platforms can be used to create AI-driven applications, automate workflows, and generate content with minimal technical expertise. The session will explore practical applications in education, research, and business, along with ethical considerations and responsible AI usage.

Qusay Mahmoud

Qusay H. Mahmoud, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a Professor of Software Engineering at Ontario Tech University (Canada). Before Ontario Tech, he spent a decade at the University of Guelph (Canada) as a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the BlackBerry Centre for Mobile Education & Research. Dr. Mahmoud brings a global perspective to his work, having been a visiting professor in the UAE, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. His academic journey includes a BSc in Data Analysis and a Master’s degree in Computer Science (both from the University of New Brunswick, Canada), a PhD in Computer Science (Middlesex University, UK), and leadership training from the University of Manitoba (Canada) and Cornell University (USA). Dr. Mahmoud’s research is primarily focused on intelligent software systems and engineering education.

Scope
